Steven Siller was a New York City fire fighter who gave his life to rescue others in the Twin Towers disaster on September 11, 2001. His brother, Frank Siller, decided to honor his memory with the creation of Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This organization is most known for providing new smart homes for wounded veterans or first responders and fully settling mortgages for surviving family members of deceased veterans and first responders. This is an amazing charity that serves a very practical need. Over 90% of all funds goes directly to the purpose of the charity. I proudly give my $11 per month to help this cause.
The Wounded Warrior Project is one we are all likely familiar with. This organization serves military service members who return home with a variety of challenges caused mostly by their service to our country. PTSD affects many returning service men and women, and this organization has many efforts to assist these people. Returning women service members face unique problems and they look to Wounded Warriors for help. This organization has programs to assist veterans and their families with almost any type of issue. For less than a couple of cups of coffee, you can make a one-time or monthly commitment to assist those who have done so much for you. I proudly give my $19 per month to help those who stood the line to protect me.
The charities and organizations I list here are groups that I personally think are deserving of my support. Like all charitable giving, my reasons for supporting these organizations is personal. These are not affiliate links to these charities. I am not compensated if anyone clicks these links and chooses to donate. I have no agreement with them and am not acting on any request from them to solicitate any donations. This page is simply my voice to friends and customers about what I value. If you have a special charity that could use some support, complete the form below and I will evaluate your suggestion and possibly give them some promotion here. After all, every little bit helps.
